Leafy Hollow Mountain Home is located in the Majestic Black Mountains near Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak East of the Mississippi. Sitting on this homes native rock deck being surrounded by trees and at 3,000 feet elevation will definitely give you the feeling of being in a tree house. The beauty these mountains have to offer is abound at the Leafy Hollow Mountain Home. Nestled on 2 acres of heavily wooded land this home is extremely private. It has its own private walking trail right out the door and is minutes away from the pristine South Toe River and Pisgah National Forest.

The main level of the home has an open living room concept with a very romantic wood burning fireplace set back in a wall which is completely constructed of native Black Mountain rock. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern stainless steel appliances including an indoor electric grill, dishwasher and all the cookware you would expect. As you walk through the living room you pass down the hallway to a bedroom with gorgeous native sawmill poplar walls and a full bath. Be awakened in the mornings by the soft inviting sun coming through your windows. Lay and view the thick leafy surroundings right out this bedroom's window. The bed size in this cozy bedroom is Queen. All the bed and bath linens are provided.

The downstairs area has 1 extremely spacious bedroom with a Queen bed and a gas log Vermont Castings Stove which is set back into a wall of solid native rock. There is also a private reading room which adjoins the bedroom. A door from this bedroom leads to an extraordinary outside rock grotto also constructed of  Western North Carolina native stone. Inside the grotto is a table and chairs for your enjoyment. The second full bathroom is located in this downstairs area of the home. Also in this lower level there is a bedroom which has 2 twin beds. 

This mountain home features cable TV, VCR, DVD, CD player, washer/dryer, 2 native stone fireplaces for those cool mountain nights. It also has an outside burn pit for campfires "cut firewood provided" with refreshing ice cold deep well water. There is also a gas grill located on the upper deck and deck furniture for outdoors dining. Do as little or as much as you desire at this very unique mountain paradise home. A perfect base location for N.C. explorations. Leafy Hollow Mountain Home is about 10 minutes from downtown Burnsville, 40 minutes to Asheville, 15 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway, 45 minutes to Mt. Mitchell, 1 hour to Boone.
