Description: Cedar Lodge welcomes you to one of the most serene, yet rugged beauty of North Carolina Mountains. It is marked by the beautiful Rock Creek directly in front of the Lodge. You will enjoy the secret fishing hole, hiking all around, gem mining and excellent swimming holes. Spend your days relaxing on the deck reading a great novel or feel free to explore the many activities that are available to you in the area.
Cedar Lodge (main house) offers a fully equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs. Open living room with large windows and french doors overlooking the bold 'Rock Creek' and takes you right onto the deck where you will find a gas grill. The living room also has a large flat screen television and DVD player as well as a Full size sofa bed. A private master bedroom with TV and DVD completes the main level of this cabin. Above you will find two open and spacious lofts. The master loft has a Queen bed as well as a TV/DVD and stereo. The other loft has two Double futon bunkbeds, perfect for the children! This cabin comfortably sleeps 10.
As if this is not enough, relax by one of the two fire pits located on the creek in front of the lodge. Enjoy the cool evenings that the North Carolina mountains has to offer during the summer months. Listen to the sound of the birds in the morning and enjoy the melody of water as you drift off to sleep at Rock Creek.
The Lodge is located about 15 miles from the quaint town of Burnsville where you will find unique gift shops, charming cafe's and friendly folks. Only one mile from the Appalachian Trail, National Forest, The Blue Ridge Parkway and 4.5 star Mt. Mitchell Golf Course. A few days just doesn't seem like enough time to take in all of the beauty and activities that this area has to offer. If you are vacationing this season and truly want to get in touch with nature and the back country this cabin will allow you to endure relaxation and peace.
