Description: If you need to relax and get away for a while, we recommend a trip to The Smokey Mountains. Bring your fishing poles, outdoor gear, camera, smiles, and leave the cell phones and cares at home. Whether you like to hike, go fishing, or just dip your toes in the cool, clear water...come on up and drive in the clouds along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Just an hour drive from Asheville, NC and located in the Picgah National Forest, is the Rock Creek Retreat.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms, sun porch, and of course a babbling brook. Creek side sitting room has bunk beds and queen sleeper sofa making it 3 rd bedroom for kids or additional guests. The fitted antique wood burning stove makes for a warm winter haven with the feeling of being outside - but without chillin' dem bones. Sleeps up to 8 people.
This property can be rented by itself or can be used as a guest house for Cedar Lodge (adjoining property). If rented jointly with the lodge property, the price will be discounted. Great for family reunions or large groups It’s something for all ages. Tourist and local literature for your day trips are provided though you may wish to enjoy what is at your finger tips which is gem mining, fishing, hiking, and beautiful waterfalls. Cottage is bordered on 3 sides by national forest with the Appalachian Trail less than a mile up maple creek. You will find waterfalls, fishing holes caves and wildlife that the locals are not even aware of.
