*Asheville - it’s no wonder Asheville has topped lists of small cities to visit for years now. It has some of the most amazing restaurants in the country, was at the forefront of farm to table dining and local artisan shops, showcases a beautiful, historic downtown, invites visitors into artist studios, and is home to the Biltmore Estate and gardens. From our home, it’s an easy 30 minute drive to downtown Asheville.
*Mars Hill and Marshall - step back in time in these quaint neighboring towns a short drive away. Mars Hill and Marshall offer delicious dining, breweries and shops with river and mountain views, on sweet main streets that invite you to slow down and stroll.
*Hot Springs - known for its natural hot springs, the small town and resort of Hot Springs are local favorites!
*Burnsville - this small, artsy town sits in the valley of stunning mountain scenery. Enjoy visiting its restaurants, breweries, artisan shops and hiking trails.
*Blue Ridge Parkway - when you drive onto the Blue Ridge Parkway, you’ll feel like you’re a world away from your cares. This historic scenic drive highlights the areas most stunning views and offers numerous hiking trails. You can easily spend a full blissful day or two going either direction on the parkway.
*Hendersonville & Flat Rock - 45-60 minutes away, Hendersonville and neighboring Flat Rock provide a fantastic day trip of dining, exploring the Carl Sandburg House (& goats!) and hiking trails, plus lovely parks in which to meander.
*Brevard - one hour away, another delightful small town known for its array of waterfall hikes (stop at Flat Rock Wood Kitchen in Flat Rock for a top notch meal on your way in or out.
We will leave guides for you of some of our favorite outings! However, rest assured many of you will feel content to stay snuggled up on the property.

PLEASE NOTE: Please note: cell phone service is spotty in the mountains and you may not have service at the house. We supply high speed internet (you can connect your phone to make calls and text) and a landline phone for local and long-distance calls.
**PLEASE NOTE: We have placed video cameras at exterior doors as well on the game trail behind the house. These offer security for our cabin plus wildlife viewing, our favorite! We turn off the exterior door cameras during times when guests are staying at our cabin to respect your privacy.
**Please Note: Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort, formerly Wolf Laurel Ski Resort, plans to open this Summer. If you are looking to reserve the cabin to ski, please contact us first to make sure there hasn't been any delay in the grand reopening of the ski resort / slopes. This cabin is located an easy 25 min drive from Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort.
